Nancy Leigh-Smith is an award winning and
internationally known fibre artist. She has been making art since grade school,
painting with watercolours, acrylics and chalk pastels, and making art quilts
and wall hangings. Nancy was introduced to figurative fibre art in 2002,
and since has been enthusiastically designing and creating her own.

nature and people both real and imaginary. Her art is unique, vibrant and often
humorous. She frequently utilizes machine embroidery and felting in her art.
Nancy is a member of Ottawa’s All Dolled
Up, the Canadian Doll Artists’
Association (CDAA) and the Ottawa Artisans Guild. She has coordinated All Dolled
Up ‘s participation at various exhibitions in the Ottawa area and was the
